Payments:

What form of payment can I use?

We currently accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express.

Will my card be automatically charged each month?

Yes.  Upon purchasing a subscription, a recurring monthly payment will be charged to the card on file.

Can I cancel my subscription?

Yes.  Cancellations must be made 10 days prior to your next renewal date.

Can I pause my account?

Yes.  Any changes to your account must be made 10 days prior to your renewal date.

How long will it take for me to receive my refund?

Refunds are typically issued and process with in 48hrs. However, this may vary depending on your banking/credit card terms.

What do I do if my payment fails?

Log into your Hen in a Hurry account and update your credit card information. Sometimes, the credit card on file will expire and periodically you will need to update this information.

I am paying with a gift card, voucher, or am receiving a free box. Why must I enter in my credit card information?

In order for your account to be setup in our system it requires a credit card. This card will not be charged for this transaction, unless there is remaining balance beyond the gift card, voucher, promo code, or discount. In addition, any subsequent orders will be charged at the normal rate if you sign up for a subscription.

How does Hen in a Hurry work?

Hen in a Hurry functions as a chef prepared meal subscription service made with clean, locally sourced, sustainable ingredients from trusted farmers and purveyors. We take care of the cooking so you just heat and enjoy!

We offer 3 different meal plans. Each plan gives you the option to pause or cancel at anytime without penalties or fees.

30 Individual Meals

  • 30 delicious main dishes paired with the perfect side item.

 12 Bulk Meals

  • 12 main course bulk meals to choose from.  Add bulk side items, as desired.

  • As low as 96 servings for under $3 each.

Hatch Your Own Plan

  • Create your own plan based on all meal options provided.

  • Mix and match individual meals, large and small entrees, side items, and desserts as you please.

What is your minimum subscription?

Our 12 Bulk Meals plan offers the best value. Although, you are welcome to select “Hatch Your Own”, which will allow you to individually select items to accommodate a custom order. On average, the “30 Individual Meals” and the “12 Bulk Meals” subscriptions will save you 10% of cost verses ordering from the “Hatch Your Own Plan” subscription.

How do I order?

1) Choose from one of our subscriptions or create a custom menu via our “Hatch Your Own” option.

2) Select your meals from over 100 freshly made entrees and sides prepared daily.

3) Go through the check-out process.

Can I make changes to my subscription?

All changes must be made 10 days prior to the date in which your order will be delivered.

Is there a minimum order?

You can order any amount that you would like, but a minimum order of $100, pre-tax and pre-shipping, is needed to qualify for free shipping.

Can I substitute items?

In order to expedite service and maintain food quality, we do not allow substitutions at the time. However, you may make selections from the “Hatch Your Own Plan” if you would like to mix and match options that are not available in the subscriptions.

How do I update my account information?

From the Home Page select “MY ACCOUNT”. This will take you to your account where you then can select “Dashboard”. From your account dashboard you can view your recent orders, manage your shipping and billing addresses, and edit your password and account details.

What is the commitment duration required for Hen in a Hurry subscriptions?

Once you have signed up for your subscription service, you can pause or cancel this at any time. This must be done at least 10 days prior to your next renewal date.

Is there a deadline for making changes to my order?

We ask that all revisions to orders are made 10 days before your subscription is set to renew. Although, if there is a last-minute accommodation that needs to be met, please call us at 888.963.9856 or email us at info@heninahurry.com and we will do our best to make it happen for you.

Will I get a reminder asking me to select my meals for the next month?

Yes, we will send you an email 2 weeks before your meals are set to renew. We ask that these changes are done 10 days before your renewal date. You will have the option to have the chef select your meals, reorder the same meals from the month before, or select new items.

Shipping and Delivery:

How does shipping work?

Shipping is free for most! Any orders of $100 or more, pre-tax and pre-shipping, qualify for free shipping. Order by Thursdays at 12pm (noon) EST and your package will ship the following Monday. If the shipping date falls on a holiday your order will ship the following business day. You can expect your order to arrive within 1-4 days depending on where you live in the U.S. You will receive an email with tracking information when your box has left our facility on Monday afternoon.

We asked our customers to locally recycle containers/packaging for your food.

My delivery is late what should I do?

First check your tracking info. If it says it has arrived, please contact us at 888.963.9856 or email us at info@heninahurry.com. If it says it has not arrived, please allow until the end of the day and if it has still not arrived by the end of the day that it was suppose to arrive contact us at 888.963.9856 or email us at info@heninahurry.com.

Why didn’t I get free shipping?

All orders must be over $100 to receive free shipping. At check out you must enter the code “ship4free”. This cannot be combined with any other discounts, promo codes, coupons, or offers.

How and when do I receive my tracking information?

You will automatically receive an email from us when your order ships. You can track this order at https://www.fedex.com/en-us/tracking.html using the tracking number provided in this email.

How far do you deliver?

Hen in a Hurry delivers anywhere across the continental United States that FedEx ships!

When should I expect my delivery?

If your order is placed by 12pm (noon) EST on Thursday. Your order will ship the following Monday. If there is a holiday, it will ship on the following business day. When your order is shipped it will arrive within 1-4 days.

Do I have to be home to receive my delivery?

No, you do not. If you have any special instructions please leave them at check out and we will be happy to accommodate., otherwise the box will be at your front or most obvious door.

What comes in each delivery?

Depending on which option you select. You can expect the food you selected, a packing slip, and dry ice/gel packs. In addition, we have put an egg in every package with an inspirational quote by a woman inside of them as a nod to our head hen.

What do I do if I have a damaged/missing item or have the wrong order?

Email us at info@heninahurry.com or call us at 1-888-963-9856 from 9am -5pm EST Monday – Friday. We ask that we are notified within 3 days of delivery. Please take photos or a video and use a thermometer if temperature is thought to be an issue.

How is my food packed to ensure it will arrive at safe temperature?

At Hen in a Hurry we package in our USDA facility. Our procedure is to vacuum seal and place the food in our freezer. The food is then packaged in an insolated container with gel packs and/or dry ice, depending on the transportation time. We then ship the items to you and it will arrive below 42 degrees, which is food safe temperature. You are then able to place your meals in either your refrigerator freezer depending on when you plan on eating your meals. These meals can be held in your freezer for up to 6 months, and 3-5 days in your refrigerator.

Do you accommodate dietary restrictions?

We offer a wide variety of meals to accommodate dietary restrictions. Each meal will identify the protein (tofu, chicken, turkey, fish, beef, or pork). We also identify if the meal is vegetarian, vegan, gluten free, paleo, keto, dairy free, next 56 approved, or pasta. This is identified by the badges on each photographed meal. Simply, hover your mouse curser over the badge to identify what the icon means. Also, you can filter by the type of meal you are looking for on the right side of your screen.

Where do the recipes for the meals come from?

Our recipes are a combination of Iron Hen Café classics, staples with our special flare, and southern inspired chef crafted meals.

Where can I find caloric or nutritional information on Hen in a Hurry’s meals?

Once you are under the plans we offer, click on the photo of the meal you would like to see the caloric intake for. This will pull up a closer photo of the food and nutritional facts.

How long will my meals last?

Our meals are prepared without preservatives;

therefore, you need to consume your meals within

3-5 days of thawing or within 6 months, if frozen.

Can I recycle the packaging?

Hen in a Hurry is a sustainable company. We ask that you recycle everything that you can. Although, for the things that are not able to be recycled we ask that you try and find a purpose for it. We provide a list of uses for the styrofoam containers we send out in an effort to find creative uses for items that will not be viable for recycling.
